Products, categories and units

Products are used to connect SOPs, production orders and processes. First organize the product classification and basic attributes, and then maintain the process of the product to avoid mis-binding of data caused by similar names.

For tenant administrators and authorized employees

This chapter only introduces authorized operations within this enterprise. The entrance and buttons change with the scope of enterprise opening, employee roles and positions; the actual picture uses test data.

Entry and preconditions

Enter "Product Management" or "ERP System → Product Information" visible to the current enterprise; the left side of the SOP list also organizes processes by product. First make sure that the account has product data maintenance rights.

Create categories and products

Select the category in the product category tree; when classification is needed, add it according to the page entry, and right-click the category to maintain subcategories.
Click "Add Product" and fill in the product name and the actual required coding, model, specifications, barcode and other fields.
Select the unit according to the actual measurement method of the product; if the unit does not exist, it will be maintained in the unit data available to the enterprise.
Confirm the classification and activation status, save it, and then query by product name or code.
Go to the "SOP List" to select the same product and start maintaining the corresponding process.

How to fill in the main information

Field	Fill in instructions
product code	Use the unique code agreed by the enterprise, or generate it according to the form prompts; do not confuse model and code into one item.
Product name	It is easy for business personnel to identify and is consistent with process documents and orders.
Model, specification, barcode	Fill in the information based on actual information to distinguish similar products.
Classification	Select the correct level to facilitate search on the left side of the SOP list.
Units and status	Check the measurement caliber of the production quantity and whether the product is enabled.

Query, edit and classification adjustment

First use the product code or name to query, then check the model and category before editing. When category trees and list filters exist at the same time, clearing one item does not necessarily mean restoring all products. Before modifying product ownership, check the association between the SOP and the order to avoid judging that the data has been migrated just by looking at the name.

Complete inspection

The product can be correctly selected in the SOP list and new production order, and the name, model and measurement caliber are consistent. Products without audited SOPs may not yet be available for effective production process selection, even if they have been established.
