Departments, roles and positions
Departments are used to organize employees, roles are used to assign menus and operation permissions, and positions are used to position identities and related business rules. The three need to be maintained and distributed separately and cannot replace each other.
Entrance and scope of use
Authorized tenant administrators maintain the company's departments, roles and positions under "System Management"; then go to "Basic Information → Employees" for allocation. If there is no entrance, please contact the enterprise administrator to check the activation scope and account authorization.
The difference between the three types of data
| information | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Department | Employee organization affiliation and partial data scope | Production department, assembly group |
| role | Visible menus, executable buttons, and corresponding data ranges | Document maintenance, review, production scheduling management |
| position | Employee responsibility display and job-related business verification | Manager, assembly positions |
Maintenance departments and positions
- Establish a department hierarchy in department management, fill in the name and check the superior department.
- Add a new position in position management and fill in the position name; the code can be filled in according to the page prompts or automatically generated.
- Confirm activation status, sorting and comments. When a position code is already involved in business identification, the impact must be confirmed before adjustment.
- Go back to the employee editing page, select the department and position, save and check the terminal employee badge.
Create and assign roles
- Enter role management, add a new role that matches the responsibilities, and fill in the role name and description.
- Select the applicable data range; "all" refers to the data controlled by permissions within the current enterprise, and does not mean that it can be accessed from other enterprises.
- After saving, open "Assign Permissions", check the menus and operations required for the job, and save.
- Return to employee management to assign this role; select roles and positions separately.
- Have the employee log back in to check for normal operation and buttons that should not appear.
About manager position and job application
Currently, some job reporting modification and review capabilities also verify the manager position or tenant administrator identity; simply changing the role name to "Manager" cannot replace the position verification. Likewise, being assigned a position does not automatically grant you all menu permissions. Check together based on actual position and system authorization.
Complete inspection
Employee department affiliations are correct, role authorizations are consistent with responsibilities, and positions are correctly displayed on job badges. Even if employees know the page address without authorization, they should not be able to gain administrative capabilities based on it. Keep an administrator account that can manage the company normally, and adjust its permissions carefully.
